Gavin DeGraw Plays Despite Weather Conditions

With the downpour of heavy rain, the Gavin DeGraw concert experienced many technical difficulties before the concert even concluded.
Hundreds of students, faculty, families, non-students, and even visitors came to the grove stage at 8:30 Friday night to see Mr. DeGraw perform with country singer, Craig Morgan as an opening act. The weather conditions for the evening had been predicted already with low temperatures and high chances of rain. The rain began during the Rebel baseball game against Arkansas, resulting in a postponed ball game. Throughout the evening rain mixed between heavy and light downpours. The concert began with clear skies but about five songs into Mr. DeGraw’s performance heavy rain caused the power to shut off. After a slight delay while the technical attendants worked to retain power the concert still went on. “The show MUST go on,” states Gavin in a tweet prior to the concert, “Great to be back in Oxford. Lived there for a few months a few years ago and tonight was special for me.”
