Ole Miss Relay For Life Gets Festive
After months of
planning, Relay for Life at Ole Miss is here.
The theme for this year’s event, which is raising money to support
cancer research, is holidays, with each team using a different holiday theme to
decorate their space.
Relay for Life,
which is an annual event, is bringing support from all areas of campus life,
including Greek organizations, student groups, and independent students forming
their own teams.
“Students have
really taken great initiative in participating in this event. We have students participating from all parts
of campus, and all types of people are taking part,” Amber Ward, one of the
event’s coordinators, said.
The event will take
place on April 13th and 14th, from 6 PM on the 13th
to 6 AM on the 14th. For the
duration of the event, participants will be walking the course, fundraising at
their tents, and hosting food and entertainment.
The planners of
Relay for Life hope that this event is a big success, and that plenty of people
come out to support research for curing cancer.
