Charlaine Harris is the author of several vampire themed
books that inspired the hit television show “True Blood.” She was born and
raised in Mississippi, and attended college in Memphis. She recently decided to
donate some of her manuscripts to the J.D. Williams Library.
Charlaine Harris has written over 30 novels. Her book “Dead
Until Dark” was the one that inspired the show True Blood. The show is focused
around the lives of several vampires.
The manuscripts will be added to the Archives and Special Collections of the library. They aren’t available to students right now they will be soon. The library is in the procedure of processing the collection.

Charlaine Harris is very happy to have the manuscripts be a part
of the Ole Miss library. She says she feels at home in Mississippi. Employees
at the library are extremely grateful for Charlaine’s donate.
There is another school employee who has worked with the
True Blood show. Chris Offutt wrote manuscripts for the show as well. He is an English
teacher at the university and is very happy to see the manuscripts be added to
the library.
The addition of the True Blood manuscripts is a very big
gift. The manuscripts will be available to students and faculty alike very
